The burning issue of body image in Ireland

Speaking at the launch of the survey in late October 2012, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Frances Fitzgerald, said that she would be taking the recommendations on board and considering them in her department’s official review of the report.

While the specifics of future campaigns addressing the issue of body image in Ireland have yet to be released into the public forum, it is clear that the ‘How We See It’ survey has gone a long way already to raising awareness on the subject and laying the foundations for change.
